5 Summer Dresses Under $50

Dresses are the unofficial silhouette of summer. They're easy, breezy and radiate fun + flirty: exactly the theme of what our summer mood should be. Whether you're looking to keep your cool or bring in your night-out to sunrise, from seaside fun to heatwaves in the city, I've got a dress for that. And get this, they're all under $50.

I was in Orlando when this cute target find caught my eye. For me, my Florida style meant fun, vibrant, coastal but with an edge. As we all know by now, I don't tend to experiment too much with color but this mint green/cool blue with the minimalistic flower outlines was just the right amount of bold to still make me feel like me in it. I kept the accessories chic in black and white and opted for white frames to keep the beachy theme. The pop of pink on my nails really tied it all together.

Another beachy sun dress, is this brown, backless number from Amazon. The backless detail is clearly a favorite here at HeyPrettyFace. Some easy slip on shoes like these Tony Bianco slides and an oversized bag makes this look the perfect day time outfit running around the city and quick market runs. It is also the perfect silhouette for transitional dressing into the fall, layered over a contrasting long sleeve bodysuit and over-the-knee boots, boy do I have plans for it.

Lately though, mini slip dresses have been on heavy rotation for my summer style. If fun + flirty is the theme, we are featuring the slip dress as the main character. An oversized blazer as supporting actress and PVC clear heels as extras. What I'm trying to say here is, it's an à la mode look through and through. The dress pictured is sold out but here is a similiar option, slightly over $50 but also on my wishlist.

Here are some slip dresses (also $50 or less) that are sure to having you out here serving off duty 90's supermodel vibes.

PS as summer draws to a slow close, remember the game of layering and accessorizing can take your summer outfits well into the transitional season. Let me know if that's something you'd like a detailed walk through on how to do. Until next time...
