This Week's Style Theory
Ballon Pants

I'm really into textures and silhouettes at the moment, and balloon pants tick all those boxes. My ideal way of styling balloon pants would be to pair it with something draped and asymmetrical, but taking it even further I think the real hack here is to make sure you are cinched at the waist to further accentuate and play into the shapes.
Layered Looks

It's fall/winter season after all which means the more clothing items, the better. It doesn't necassarily have to be a skirt over pants. I've seen the skirts with a built-in shirt, tied around the waist look and I think it is such a vibe. I'm still trying to figure out how to make it work for my minimalistic style aesthetic, but I love seeing how the style girlies are doing it. A lace trimmed camisole is also the ideal layering piece for this fall. Layering it under a chunky knit or a casual tee, creates that masculine vs feminine juxtaposition– giving a more modern feel.
Leopard Print

It's sexy, sophisticated and timeless. It adds a certain edge to any look (casual or dressed up). It's usually when fall rolls around, that I start reaching for my animal prints more often, but I love that it's a carry over piece and how you accessorize it is what makes it feel fresh. A leopard print dress, an hourglass blazer with the sleeves pushed up, add some long leather gloves and a very minimal minaudière.
Sheer Everything

Organza, lace, tulle, fishnet, fringe– if it's see through, I want it. And if you go back to the layered look trend, this plays a big part there.
Statement Necklace

There is something so effortlessly chic about a single statement necklace added to a look. And for someone who doesn't prefer the layered jewelry look, this is a winner for me. I would add it to a look that is breezy or flowy. Or maybe a casual t-shirt/tank with a matching cardigan for a contrasting/unexpecting look.
How would you style some of these closet items, and what other looks would you add to this list?
